From: A laboratory study of hydraulic fracturing at the brittle-ductile transition
Post-mortem samples of PMMA at different temperatures following P2 experimental procedure (see Methods). A single planar mode-I hydro-fracture propagated up to \(T\le 90\,^{\circ }\)C, while no fracture occurred at \(T\ge 100\,^{\circ }\)C where only large visco-plastic deformation around the wellbore was observed.
