Scores plot for PCA (a), PLS-DA (b) of North American (NAH, n = 8) and New Zealand (NZH, n =8) Holstein cows under grazing conditions at 21 (green and sky-blue dots, respectively) and 180 (red and purple dots, respectively) days in milk. The VIP scores plot (c) is based on the top 25 metabolites with the highest VIP values for the 1st component of PLS-DA. Green to red color denote low to high plasma concentrations of the current metabolite.
