MTD12813 promotes survival in CRE bacteremic sepsis. (a-c) Mice were challenged i.p. with Kp-1705 (3 - 5 x 108 CFU) at t = 0. (a) One h post infection (p.i.) mice were treated i.p. with MTD12813 at 0.5, 1.25, 5 mg/kg, or saline vehicle and monitored for up to 28 d. (b) Mice were treated with a single i.p. injection of 1.25 mg/kg MTD12813 before (-1 or -3 h) or after (+1 or +3 h) infection; controls received saline. P values compared to saline control. (c) Mice were treated 1 h p.i. with a single i.p. dose of 1.25 mg/kg MTD12813, meropenem, imipenem, colistin, or polymyxin B or 5 mg/kg RTD-1. (d) Mice were challenged i.p. with CRE E. coli BAA-2340 (3 - 6 x 107 CFU). One h after infection, mice received a single i.p. injection of 5 or 1.25 mg/kg MTD12813 or saline. P values determined by Fisher’s exact test.
