Levels of blood ketone bodies of control (n = 8), mTBI (n = 6), KD (n = 6), and mTBI + KD (n = 5) mice. Mice that received KD (with or without mTBI) demonstrated a prominent increase in ketone bodies compared to mice fed SD at 3, 7, and 30 days after the diet was initiated.
