  1. With the force of infection was calculated based on the posterior marginal distributions of each parameter, the proportion of potential route of transmission contributing to HPAI H5N6 infection in IPs that belong to a specific phylogenetic cluster was obtained by simulating a binomial trial with two possible outcomes (e.g., vehicle movement and other sources of infection) to compute.
  2. The distribution was obtained by simulating values from the Gamma distribution, based on parameters α and β randomly sampled from their joint distribution.
  3. Based on DIC value, the preferred model between one day and three-day infectious duration for vehicle movements originating from a specific genotype of IPs was selected.
  4. HPAI highly pathogenic avian influenza, IPs infected premises, DIC deviance information criterion.
