Transcripts whose expression fell rapidly after birth. (A) The first major aging-relevant profile that we identified was one in which gene expression dropped rapidly after birth. There were 264 genes associated with this profile. (B) Pathway analysis revealed many neuron-associated pathways linked to this profile. (C) Potential upstream regulators of the genes associated with this profile as determined through Ingenuity Pathway Analysis. (D,E) qPCR confirmed significantly reduced levels of DLX1 (D) and IGF1 (E) mRNA within the SEZ of older samples.
