Admixture profiles of Italian population groups included in the modern extended dataset have been tested using a four-population model including CHG/Iran_Neolithic, WHG, Steppe_EMBA and Anatolian_Neolithic as putative ancient source groups. Specific details about inferred ancestry proportions and relative levels of significance are reported in the Supplementary Table S8.
