Time-lapse fluorescence data for the cytosolic calcium distribution in an MCF7 breast carcinoma cell during UV-laser induced plasma membrane damage and repair. Sequence in (a–e) was acquired with the membrane bound probe GCaMP6s-CAAX while sequence in (f–j) was acquired with the cytoplasma probe GCaMP6s. Laser damage to the plasma membrane was induced at the marked point (yellow) in the cell at time t = 0 s. All images within one sequence are displayed at the same intensity scale.
