From: Metabolic engineering of probiotic Escherichia coli for cytolytic therapy of tumors
Investigation of immune responses in mice. C57BL/6 mice were treated with systemic administration of PBS, EcNe or EcNe/HlyE for four consecutive days. Since then, their serum levels of TNF-α, TNF-γ and IL6 in C57BL/6 mice were quantified at the indicated time three time points. Values were expressed as means ± SD (*p < 0.05; **p < 0.01; and ***p < 0.001 vs. the PBS group).
