From: Addressing indirect frequency coupling via partial generalized coherence

Data collection from rodent OB. (a) Odorants interact with olfactory sensory neurons (OSNs), which transmit activity to sites in the OB called glomeruli. Mitral cells (MCs) have dendrites in each glomerulus, and therefore MCs relay olfactory information to cortical areas for further processing. Connections exist between glomeruli but remain understudied. (b) GCaMP was used to perform two-photon imaging of glomeruli in the mouse OB. Pairs of ROIs were selected for each glomerulus which was identified based on odor responses and is indicated by a contour. Scale bar: 50 \(\upmu \)m. (c) Baseline activity, i.e. no odorant introduced, of each ROI along with a recording of a piezo sensor attached to the mouse’s chest to capture breathing activity.
