From: CD25890, a conserved protein that modulates sporulation initiation in Clostridioides difficile

Differential gene expression in the \(\Delta\)CD25890 mutant. (A) To compare the transcriptome of the \(\Delta\)CD25890 mutant with the wild type, both strains were grown for 10 h in SM broth, samples collected and RNA-seq performed. The graph represents the functional classes of the 165 genes that are up-regulated in the \(\Delta\)CD25890 mutant based on the RNA seq data (the number represent the percentage of each functional class). See also Table S3. (B) Sporulation efficiency of the Ptet-sinRR’ alleles. The spore titer was determined 24 h following inoculation into SM sporulation medium supplemented with 50 nM of anhydrotetracycline. The heat resistant spore count by determining the cfu/mL obtained after treatment at 70ºC. The results shown are averages and standard deviations for three biological replicates.
