The distribution of plasma EC-SOD concentration classified by age showed a significant difference in SOD3 p.R231G non-carriers (ANOVA: p < 2.2 × 10−16). (b) Distribution of plasma EC-SOD concentration in SOD3 p.R231G heterozygotes by age. The distribution of plasma EC-SOD concentration classified by age showed a significant difference in SOD3 p.R231G heterozygotes (ANOVA: p = 0.0135). These results suggest that the concentration of plasma EC-SOD increases depending on the age in the Very Old and Centenarian period.
