Increased growth of ovarian cancer spheroids is mediated by exosomal miRNA. Ovarian cancer cells HeyA8, SKOV3, OVCA433, or OVCA429, were grown with malignant exosomes treated with RNase along with non-treated malignant exosomes for seven days and assayed for spheroid forming capacities. We found that RNase treatment decreased both size (b) and a number of spheroids (a,b), indicating a possible role of exosomal RNA.
