Mechanisms of resistance. In what follows, we will illustrate various modifications to the model simulated in Fig. 2, by changing model priors. The graphics in this figure provide an overview of the three manipulations we will pursue in terms of the associated biological mechanisms. These mechanisms are reduced viral entry into host cells, pre-existing memory B-cells, and enhanced T-cell dependent killing of infected cells.
