Z-scores for the effect of Klotho KL-VS haplotype in seven tests measuring cognitive abilities. Thin lines represent median data. Thick lines represent mean data. For each test, data of subjects with Klotho wild type haplotype were Z-transformed to a mean of zero and standard deviation of one taken from subjects with KL-VS wild type haplotype. Z-scores give the deviation in subjects with heterozygous Klotho KL-VS haplotype from wild-type subjects. Negative values represent declined performance across all tests.
