Gene expressions of Rac1, Suv39H1 and Dnmt1 in mouse retinal microvessels. Rac1, Suv39H1 and Dnmt1 gene transcripts were quantified by qRT-PCR using 18S as a housekeeping gene. The values are represented as mean ± SD of 5–6 mice/group, with each measurement made in duplicate. Norm and Diab = Normal and Diabetic mice; Diab/Suv-si and Diab/Dnmt1-si = Mice receiving Suv39H1-siRNA or Dnmt1-siRNA, soon after induction of diabetes. *p < 0.05 compared to normal and #p < 0.05 compared to diabetes.
