Membrane tension effects on the frequency response of complex capacitance for negative initial Vh. (A) 0 mmHg, (B) − 10 mmHg. Clear changes, especially in the imaginary component, are noted between the two tensions. These changes are highlighted in (C) where the intersection frequency, Fis, is found to increase with increases in tension. A shift from 11 to 16.2 kHz occurs between the two extremes.
