  1. We have \(b=2\) and \(c=1\). Payoffs are of the form (Payoff(A), Payoff(B)). If both A and B cooperate, they both pay a cost c, and gain a benefit b from the other’s cooperation. If only one of A or B cooperate, then the defecting agent pays no cost (while the cooperating agent does) and receives only the benefit b. If neither agent cooperates, then nothing is gained or lost.
