From: Structural and optical properties of Nd:YAB-nanoparticle-doped PDMS elastomers for random lasers

(a) The composition of the polymer composite, and (b) THE synthesized flexible polymer composite, (c) Experimental setup used to excite the samples and collect the RL emission. The source of excitation is a Nd:YAG laser at 532 nm. The beam intensity is controlled through a half-wave plate (HWP) and a polarizer (P) and is focused on the sample by lens L1. The light signal is collimated by lens L2 and focused on the spectrometer entrance by lens L3. The signal is detected using a spectrometer.
