Hazard ratios of postoperative recurrence for each TPS value based on 0% TPS. The hazard ratio (y) for each TPS value was calculated based on the results of a multivariate Cox hazard proportional model with TPS (x)—considered as a continuous variable—as the explanatory variable. Since the regression coefficient (β) for this multivariate analysis was calculated to be 0.015662, the hazard ratio was given by the value of eβ, i.e. 1.015786 ≈ 1.016. The function y was given by y = eβx.
