Raman spectra of (A) ZrO2 thin films irradiated with Ni7+ ion beam shows different bands corresponds to monoclinic and tetragonal phase indicating nanocrystalline nature of ZrO2 samples, (a) virgin and irradiated samples with the fluence (b) 5 × 1012 (c) 1 × 1014 (d) 2 × 1014 ions/cm2, (B) Absorption spectra of Ni7+ ion beam irradiated ZrO2 thin films shows the band edge of ZrO2 in all samples and (C) Transmittance spectra shows the decrease in band gap and transmittance with increase in ions fluence.
