Proposed image analysis algorithm workflow. From the dark-field tomograms at multiple correlation lengths, the autocorrelation function (ACF) is estimated per voxel. Per particle, the median autocorrelation function slope (AFS) is calculated. This AFS is a proxy for the unresolved nominal pore size in the particle. Ultimately, the particles were clustered in two groups representing the particles with nominal pore sizes of 50 and 150 nm, using a k-means clustering algorithm.
