Do the network characteristics of the spared and removed connections differ? A 10% decrease in EC difference spared several connections (compared to a full resection). The network characteristics of the connections that were spared were compared to those that were removed. The network characteristics were edge BC of the connection (A), as well as EC (B), degree (C), and BC (D) of the node outside the SOZ that was connected to a SOZ node with the connection in question. Connections to hub nodes were removed significantly more often than they were spared. The p-values were corrected for multiple comparisons using FDR.
