A phylogenetic tree generated using 47 reported NACs enhancing plant tolerance to abiotic stress and HaNACs from sunflower. Red dots indicated NACs reported could improve abiotic stress tolerance in plants. Most of these 47 NAC genes were densely distributed in the red subgroup, here called the SNAC group, and the other as Non-SNAC group.
