Scanning electron micrographs showing effects of lavender essential oil on morphology of Fusarium solani. The untreated fungus shows normal, intact, thick, and regular mycelia with smooth surface (a), typical, long, unbranched, and smooth-surfaced aerial conidiophores bearing false heads of ellipsoidal, non-septated microconidia (b and c). Mycelia of F. solani treated with lavender EO show severe collapse, distortion, shrinking, squashing, deformation, and rough surface with no observed conidia (d–f).
