From: Cross-border malaria in the triple border region between Brazil, Venezuela and Guyana
Number of malaria positives samples stratified by Plasmodium species and the probable country of origin of infection. The total number of malaria isolates observed in the three main countries of probable origin of infection (Venezuela, Guyana and Brazil) is shown. The different colors represent different species with each dot representing a sample. A total of 82 samples tested positive for Plasmodium, but the species could not be identified. Pf = P. falciparum, Pv = P. vivax, Po = P. ovale. Figure does not include 3 samples from Suriname (1 (Pf; 1Pv; and 1Pf/Pv) and 2 from French Guiana (Pf).
