(b–d) Representative hematoxylin and eosin-stained images for each group are shown here with × 50  magnification. Black arrows indicate pannus causing bone erosion in the navicular (1), talus (2) and distal tibia (3). Yellow arrows indicate inflammation. The prednisolone-treated group has less inflammation (yellow arrows), and less bone erosion (black arrows; mainly in the navicular bone, while talus and distal tibia are less affected).
