A Fabry-Perot cavity containing a BEC is simultaneously driven from the left mirror and along the cavity axis by a coupling field at rate \(\varepsilon _c\) and a weak probe field at rate \(\varepsilon _p\). An ultraslow light can be detected on the left hand side of the cavity.
