From: Melanin is a plenteous bioactive phenolic compound in date fruits (Phoenix dactylifera L.)

A typical HPLC separation of date fruit melanin on C18 reversed phase column using water: methanol; acetic acid (90: 10: 1, v/v/v) at o.2 mL/min as mobile phase and detection at 280 nm. Four peaks were detected with the last one eluting as a broad peak.
