Karyotypes of males and females of Chelus fimbriata (A) and Chelus orinocensis (B) in Giemsa-staining and C-banding (C, D). Bar = 20 µm. Since male and female karyotypes are identical in morphology and in C-banding pattern, we selected a representative male metaphase to illustrate the results.
