SFaN reduces SREBP precursor forms under cholesterol-enriched conditions. Huh-7 cells were sterol-depleted or enriched by incubation in medium D or medium E for 16 h, respectively, and then treated with 100 μM SFaN or SFeN. After incubation for 3 h, whole-cell extracts underwent immunoblotting (IB) with anti-SREBP-1 (2A4), anti-SREBP-2, or anti-β-actin antibodies.
