Error bars represent standard deviations. Distributions for inactive state (b,d,f) were fit with linear function in the entire range in the residence time from − 0.5 to 1.5 on x-axis (black line). To visually track the presence of the exponential-like tail in the residence distributions for the active state (a,c,e), the distributions were fit with a linear function in the shorter range in the residence time from − 0.5 to 0.8 and were extrapolated to 1.5 on x-axis (black line).
