Figure 6

Deregulation of the genes in HBMECs challenged with rDIII of TBEV and WNV. Heat maps presenting differential expression of the genes involved in the TLR and interferon signaling pathways. Viral attachment protein evokes immediate cell response in non-immune cells, mediated through patter recognition receptors. Note the high upregulation of IFNB1 in interferon alfa/beta signaling in response to rDIII of WNV, and deregulation of GBP3 and GBP5 genes in interferon gamma signaling in response to rDIII of both viruses. The intensity of the color indicates the degree of expression level (logFC), presented in the scale. Gene expression was considered as significant only when the LogFC was beyond ± 1.2, average logCPM (count per million) was > 3, and p-value was < 0.01. An edgeR package was used for statistical analysis of differentially expressed gene. The unshrunk.logFC and false discovery rate (FDR) values for each genes are presented in Supplementary Dataset.
