  1. The ED50 values were determined from linear regression analysis of the log dose–response curves. The theoretical ED50 (ED50 add) was calculated based on the dose–response curves of the curcumin and metformin monotherapy. The experimental ED50 (ED50 mix) was determined by the experimentally derived dose–response curve of the curcumin–metformin combination treatment. The ED50s are presented with their respective S.E.M. values.
