Likelihood of recommending a motor-assisted movement exerciser (MME). The NPS was used to assess participants’ likelihood of recommending the MME. The score was calculated based on responses to a single question: “How likely is it that you would recommend the MME to another friend or patient who is affected with ALS?” Answers were ranked between 0 (absolutely unlikely to recommend) and 10 (very likely to recommend). Participants who responded with a score of 9 or 10 were considered “promoters.” Those who gave the treatment a 7 or 8 were classified as “indifferent,” and participants whose rankings were between 0 and 6 were defined as “detractors” (A). The NPS was calculated by subtracting the percentage of detractors from the percentage of promoters (B). n = 141; n, number of participants.
