Effects of Wolbachia and B-vitamin supplementation on thorax width of female and male C. lectularius adults. Wb–Vit– females and males were smaller than in all other treatments (2-way ANOVA, F7,163 = 102.954, p < 0.0001). Although vitamin supplementation (Wb–Vit+) significantly increased thorax width in both sexes compared with Wb–Vit– bed bugs, the vitamin-fortified blood was not sufficient to recover thorax width to the level of control bed bugs (Wb+Vit–).
