Treatment with CBD reduces some disease-related pathology. In S1BF, chronic CBD did not affect GFAP immunoreactivity (a,b) but did significantly reduce CD68 expression (c,d) in Cln1−/−mice. Conversely, GFAP expression was reduced following CBD treatment (e,f) while CD68 immunoreactivity was unchanged (g,h) in Cln1−/−VPM/VPL. Chronic CBD did not significantly affect any of the cytokines analyzed (i). Data shown are means ± SEM. *Indicates p < 0.05; **indicates p < 0.01. Scale bar is 200 µm.
