The lines represents the mean values of the different lithological groups (UCC upper continental crust41, AVL average Loess composition42, GAL global average loess composition42). (b,c) Zr/metal vs. Th/metal ratios. LPS samples as well as samples from potential dust sources plot close to the UCC left from the compositional trend line showing igneous rock composition. Thus, there is no hint for sediment recycling induced zircon enrichment.
