BDVs inhibit the metabolism of tumor cell lines. Cell metabolism was measured by MTT assay after 24 h of treatment with different concentrations of BDVs (indicated as μg/mL). Negative controls are untreated cells (100% of vitality), whereas 10% Triton X-100 was used as positive control and gave an overall vitality of 6.44 ± 1.5% of negative controls (p < 0.001). *p < 0.05; **p < 0.01; ***p < 0.001 vs negative control. Each bar represents the mean ± SD of three independent experiments.
