Efficacy of BDVs on oxidative stress. Cells were incubated with 5 or 22 μg/mL BDVs for 24 h before treatment with 100 μM H2O2 (Caco-2 and NCI-H441) or 100 μM 6-HODA (SHSY5Y) for further 24 h. The mean fluorescence intensity (MFI) was measured by multiwell spectrofluorimeter after incubation with H2DCFDA. Data are shown as mean ± SD of two experiments conducted each in quadruplicate. ***p < 0.001. BDVs at 5 and 22 μg/mL were significantly different as compared with H2O2- or 6-HODA-stimulated cells, but not towards unstimulated cells.
