Figure 1

Representative L gene alignment (partial) of the Lepsey NLV1 detected in LD clinical samples. Partial segment L gene sequences of the Lepsey NLV1-positive LD samples and the Lepsey NLV1 isolate SBSS1 (obtained from AG83 by NGS sequencing; accession number KY628363) were aligned together with the only other Lepsey NLV1 sequence available in GenBank (accession number KU935604). The numbering of the nt positions corresponds to nt positions 167–378 of the Lepsey NLV1 sequence with accession number KU935604. FP and RP represent sequences obtained using relevant forward and reverse primers, respectively. “qPCR” suffix denotes that bidirectional sequencing was attempted on purified qPCR products. In the alignment, second to sixth sequences were from previously published virus-positive LD laboratory isolates8.
