(A) Immunofluorescence imaging of transverse muscle sections from extensor digitorum longus (EDL) and soleus (SOL) muscles from transgenic and non-transgenic animals stained with antibodies against Type I and Type II myosin heavy chain (scale bar = 50 μm). (B) Analysis of percentages of Type I and Type II fibers in EDL and SOL muscles from transgenic (n = 6) and non-transgenic (n = 6) animals. There is no significant difference between muscle type or genetic background. (C) Analysis of muscle weights as normalized to tibia length for tibialis anterior (TA), gastrocnemius (Gast), extensor digitorum longus (EDL), and soleus (SOL) muscles from transgenic (n = 10) and non-transgenic (n = 8) animals. There are no significant differences between muscle type or genetic background. Values are Mean ± S.E.M.
