Necropsy specimens from two pigs that died. Pig Blue died 9 days after GJ-LAMS placement. Necropsy revealed the ribbon-like splenic vein strangulating the efferent limb just below the GJA, leading to intestinal obstruction (A, B). Pig Purple died from an unknown cause on Day 29 (15 days after DED placement). GJA was in place with normal patency (C). DED was in place with partial tissue ingrowth (D).
