Integration of a promoter-less transgene encoding eGFP into the jhamt locus. (A) Diagram of the pSL_jhamt_eGFP construct. eGFP was flanked by the synthetic intron IVS8. dsRed (RFP) was used as a selection marker under the control of 3xP3, which drives expression in the eye. The insert was surrounded by two 1.5 kb jhamt locus homologous arms to facilitate recombination.
