AmiA and AliA peptide ligand inhibited growth of Swiss clinical isolates of S. pneumoniae with strain numbers (a) 111.46, (b) 202.58, (c) 208.41 and (d) 307.17. Growth curves were measured in the absence of peptides or the presence of 0.5 mg/ml AmiA peptide ligand or AliA peptide ligand. Growth was measured in CDM by measuring optical density (OD) over time. Results represent 3 independent experiments, error bars indicate SEM.
