Examination of side effects by PGV-1. In mice treated as described in Fig. 7, body weights were measured every 2 days (a, left panel), and those at day 20 (a, right panel) are shown. White blood cell counts (b, left panel) and hemoglobin concentrations (b, right panel) in peripheral blood were measured two weeks after administration. P values were calculated with Student’s t test. Data are the average of 4 independent experiments shown as mean ± SEM (1–2 mice were used for each independent experiment). White blood cell counts and hemoglobin concentrations were measured twice per one mouse.
