High-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) confirms the nicotine content of e-liquid before cell treatment. The graphs represent the composition of chemicals in the e-liquid solution, pure nicotine and methanol (used as control). The mean (± SD) of three determinations relative to nicotine content within the e-liquid was reported to be 0.73 ± 1 mg/mL. (SD = standard deviation). HPLC: high-pressure liquid chromatography.
