Effects of various GBEs concentrations on EGR-1 activation in a luciferase assay. GBEs were tested at three different doses, and both 0.25 mg/ml and 0.5 mg/ml concentrations of GBEs showed a statistically significant increase in EGR-1 activity in a luciferase assay (n = 6). **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001.
