Incidence of AMI and CAG rate from 2003 to 2018 according to the Korean National Health Insurance Claims Database. The CAG rate was defined as the proportion of patients diagnosed with AMI who also underwent CAG compared to the number of patients diagnosed with the disease. Since 2003, fewer women with AMI have undergone CAG than men, with a more prominent gender gap. Abbreviations: AMI, acute myocardial infarction; CAG, coronary angiography; E, cardiac enzyme.
