Males are shown in black and females in grey. 226 birds were measured at least twice during their lifetime and measurements on the same individual are connected by lines. The oldest sampled individual was 9 years. (b) Only individuals with multiple telomere length measurements are shown here for clarity (226 individuals with 536 measurements).
